GP RACE 9: OCTANE is dropping off a wide fifth behind the likes of O’Connor and Ny Traffic in the Grade 3 Harlan’s Holiday, a prep for the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup. He stands out on Beyer Speed Figures and class in this two-turn stakes for Florida-breds, in which his tactical speed should come in handy after breaking from the rail. (1)

GP RACE 10: LET IT RIDE was in sharp form before a recent fade job in a stakes at Laurel. He could rebound on the track over which he nearly graduated in a seven-furlong maiden special won by Scotland. Seven-time winner BABY YODA might be sitting on a peak race and fits the nonwinners of a race since April 20 part of the conditions in this event. DEER DISTRICT has worked willingly for his first outing since a game second behind the gifted New York Thunder in the Grade 2 Amsterdam at Saratoga and might not need one. (3)

GP RACE 11: COINVEST looked slightly best over stablemate Linesman when they worked together Jan. 13 on the dirt at Palm Beach Downs. The $1.1 million yearling by City of Light is a half-brother to turf stakes winner Wit and has a daisy-clipper stride. TRAP LINE showed nothing after a troubled break when debuting on the dirt and is strongly bred for the grass on the dam’s side. PET MAT is adding Lasix off a fourth behind a next-out winner in his first turf assignment. Irish-bred ZAPATA is debuting with a quality turf pedigree for successful first-out route trainer Chad Brown, who has been shut out at the meet so far. (4)

SA RACE 5: GOLD FOOT and POTENTIAL SPAM are both exiting a fringe finish versus maiden special weight opposition and are meeting much easier in this light $50,000 claimer. AUDIBLE SILENCE was third among two next-out winners in his opener on the dirt and is bred for the grass on the dam’s side. MAXIMUM CAPACITY is another dropper from the maiden special ranks who could make some noise. (4)

SA RACE 6: SCARY FAST RIDE finished a clear second last out in a Tapeta stakes at Golden Gate won by Chancery Way, who subsequently endured a heartbreaking loss in Santa Anita’s Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf Sprint. She was previously second at this level with Lasix at Del Mar, which came on the heels of her blowout maiden score at Santa Anita. (1)
