Clubay gets stakes win in Rose City

FORT ERIE, Ont. - Clubay became a stakes winner here in Sunday's $60,000 Rose City, dueling throughout and fending off Alittlebitgrumpy to prevail by 2 1/4 lengths.
Low Key Affair finished third, another 1 1/2 lengths back, with Simply Precious fourth in the field of six.
Clubay, a 6-year-old owned by Richard McMaster and Gemini Farm, was clocked in 1:12.17 for the six furlongs and paid $3.10.
Neil Poznansky rode the winner.
Clubay earned $36,000 in the Rose City, an in-house stakes for fillies and mares who have started at least three times in Fort Erie in 2003-2004.
