A Classic Life best in King County Handicap

AUBURN, Wash. - Horse for course A Classic Life improved her Emerald Downs record to seven wins from eight starts with a 1 1-4 length victory in Sunday's $40,000 King County Handicap at a mile.

A Classic Life, a 4-year-old daughter of Sky Classic, came from just off the pace to collar Dinner At Arlene's on the second bend and held off the closing charge of Queenledo to prevail in 1:35.60 under Ricky Frazier. Dinner At Arlene's held third by a neck over stablemate Roanaway Bride in a field of seven.

A Classic Life, who races for Mike and Amy Feuerborn, paid $4.80 to win as the favorite and earned $22,000, bringing her career earnings to $179,602 from seven wins in 14 starts. She has been trained throughout her career by Grant Forster.
