Clark getting several from out of town

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Roadster, Draft Pick, Mr. Buff, and Mocito Rojo are among the out-of-town runners whose connections are closely eyeing the Grade 1, $600,000 Clark, to be run next Friday at Churchill.
At this early juncture, these are the known prospects for the 1 1/8-mile Clark, for which entries will be drawn Sunday: Bravazo, Draft Pick, Mocito Rojo, Mr. Buff, Mr Freeze, Roadster, Seeking the Soul, and Tom’s d’Etat. Possibilities include Owendale, Snapper Sinclair, and Blueridge Traveler, with maybe a couple more rounding out a solid lineup.
In all, 23 3-year-olds and upward are nominated to the Clark, which will be run under allowance conditions for the first time in its 145-year history. Churchill has scrapped handicap conditions for all races.
The Clark will be accompanied by the Grade 2 Mrs. Revere on what is traditionally the most heavily attended day of the fall meet. Other closing-week stakes at the meet, which runs through Dec. 1, are the Grade 2 Falls City and Grade 3 Cardinal on Thursday (Nov. 28), and the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club and Grade 2 Golden Rod on Saturday (Nov. 30).
