Claiborne Farm raises War Front’s stud fee to $80K

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Claiborne Farm’s young stallion War Front, whose 2012 stakes-winners include Grade 1 winner Data Link, will get a stud fee hike in 2013 to $80,000.

War Front is the historic Paris, Ky., farm’s most expensive sire and stood for an advertised fee of $60,000 this year.

Other Claiborne stallions getting fee raises next year are Arch, who goes from $30,000 to $40,000, and Flatter, who rises from $15,000 to $20,000 in 2013. Three others will have lower stud fees. They are Blame, who drops from $35,000 to $30,000; First Samurai, from $15,000 to $10,000; and Horse Greeley, from $5,000 to $2,500.

The remainder of Claiborne’s roster will remain at their 2012 fee levels: Pulpit, $50,000; Trappe Shot, $10,000; Eddington, $5,000; Stroll, $5,000; and Parading, $3,500.

All fees are on stands and nurses terms.
