City Zip moving to Lane's End

City Zip, a Grade 1 winner, is being relocated from New York to Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Ky., Lane's End announced Tuesday. City Zip, a half-brother to this year's Breeders' Cup Classic winner, Ghostzapper, will stand for $15,000 live foal. Last year, City Zip stood for $7,500 at Contemporary Stallions in Coxsackie, N.Y.

A 6-year-old son of Carson City and the Relaunch mare Baby Zip, City Zip entered stud at Contemporary in 2002 and his first crop are yearlings of 2004. City Zip won nine races, including the Grade 1 Hopeful, and earned $818,225.
