Churchill Downs hires Dall as CFO
Marcia Dall, the chief financial officer at Erie Indemnity Co. since 2009, has been hired by Churchill Downs Inc. as the company’s new CFO, Churchill announced on Wednesday.
Dall, who also will have the position of executive vice president, fills a role that was being performed by Bill Mudd, who was elevated to president and CFO last year after previously serving solely as CFO. In a release, Churchill said that hiring Dall will allow Mudd to “continue to focus on his operational responsibilities,” and Mudd also will take on the title of chief operating officer.
Dall has 30 years of experience in finance, Churchill said. Prior to serving as CFO of Erie Indemnity, she was the CFO for the health-care division of Cigna. She also was the CFO of U.S. mortgage segments of Genworth, a former General Electric subsidiary.
Dall is a native of Indiana and completed her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University in Bloomington and received her master’s of management at Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg School of Management, Churchill said. Churchill is headquartered at its racetrack in Louisville, Ky.
