Spot PlayWorktabs say that ALBANO (#4, 5-1) and BE WELL (#5, 8-1) will both come out running, as they have the best breezes of all the juveniles in here; using them both equally in horizontal wagers, and using as keys in exactas and trifectas. -Kenny Peck

Spot PlayCLEVER BEAUTY (#2, 5-1) might be overlooked in the betting, having been kissed up to first in a maiden race with a DQ that didn’t effect her performance; still, she ran well, earning a 72 Beyer that is among the best in the field.– Byron King Closer Looks >> |

Vulnerable FavoriteGranted, there really is no favorite in some of these wide-open 2yo races on the Churchill opener, but somebody has to be the fans’ choice, huh? Should be worth taking a stand against the gray Glen Hill gelding KWACHA (#1, 3-1), who has already had a chance to beat a decidedly weaker group (2-back in a 7-horse field at AP) and now is part of an oversubscribed field with quite a few nice pedigrees and potential in it. He might be part of the verticals, but we’re definitely “against” for the multi-races. – Marty McGee. Closer Looks >> |
