Live LongshotDETERMINED YANKEE (#9, 30-1) has had trouble lasting since returning from the layoff but she could not be working any better and she looms a huge price; not at all sure we'll get the 30-1 Morning Line odds but she'll certainly offer fair value. -Kenny Peck Closer Looks >> |

Vulnerable FavoriteDYKER BEACH (3-1) is not the ML favorite but he's a close 2nd choice despite the fact that he's 0-for-11 and his latest Beyer was subpar; lack of positional speed also works against him, as this race lacks a clear-cut pace scenario. -Kenny Peck Closer Looks >> |
Race 8 |
Spot PlayKNIGHTS NATION (#5, 5-1) ran big in his first "marathon" try in that last one; he not only fits well on the strength of that effort and figure but he also may hold a tactical edge here, as this race is comprised mainly of stone closers. -Kenny Peck Closer Looks >> |

Race 10 |
Spot PlayZ Camelot (#2, 5-1) is dropped in class for a barn that does well with claiming stock, particularly at Churchill Downs; is accustomed to running longer than this distance of seven furlongs but flashed speed last out going a route and may be speedy enough to handle the shorter distance. – Byron King Vulnerable FavoriteTHINGAMAJIGGER (#4, 5-2) certainly fits the race, and is worth using underneath in exotics, but as far as the win end he comes off consecutive races where he failed at short prices despite ideal set-ups. -Kenny Peck |
