Spot PlayFALUTIN (#9, 5-1) improved when moved to turf at Keeneland, chasing the pace in third before just getting caught late for the show position and finishing fourth; further progress expected second time off a layoff – Byron King

Spot PlayPRETTYGOOD AND YOU (#11, 8-1) is wide here but she may be the best of the speeds, and this is a race a little light on pace; dangerous if able to shake loose and control the pace. -Kenny Peck Spot PlayMISS ZIGGY (#12, 10-1): This 8yo mare tends to run her race over the CD surface more often than not, and given the advantage of the open-air outside box in this $7,500 sprint, she could pull one of her patented surprises, especially with the return to a fast track. Simply forget that last debacle in the slop and suddenly she’s right there with the rest of these, and at a square price, too. – Marty McGee

Race 9 |
Spot PlayJIMMER (#10, 8-1): This pace-stalking gelding ran a couple of nice ones over the Arlington turf for this same 1x condition this summer and looks as good as any in a wide-open sprint in which the favorites (i.e., Sayler’s Creek) don’t look all that overwhelming. Look for the underrated Morales to keep this guy clear of trouble and in a position where he can pull a surprise if good enough. – Marty McGee
