SHADOW ROCK (#6, 4-1) 4yo gelding was completely out of his element when trying the dirt at OP and now returns to grass, over which he was good enough to knock out an alw. earlier this year. Successful stable spots them where they can win, and this $25k sure seems to hit him between the eyes; leaving the rest up to Derby-winning jock. – Marty McGee

SENIOR PROM (#4, 8-5) No, the price isn’t great, but she’s a linchpin for all your end-of-card multi’s after running that big one early on Oaks Day. Dale and C-Lan winning races together steadily, and this filly should be able to secure a nice spot during the early stages to punch it on home. It is prom season, too, huh? – Marty McGee
