Spot PlayIf POCKET MEDAL (#4, 4-1) is truly 4-1 (his ML price) that would represent value, as he's clearly in good form and he fits the race flow ideally; using him with BACKDOC (#2, 4-1), another who should be in a prime stalking spot in a race featuring several speeds. -Kenny Peck
Vulnerable FavoriteLAE CREEK (#7, 2-1) is certainly one to consider on the drop but his best game is when he's on the lead, and there are a couple of one-dimensional frontrunners to his inside; has a bit of a rating gear but he's not wild about passing horses late. -Kenny Peck

Spot PlayFRENCH PRESS (#1, 3-1): Al Stall can’t say enough good things about this Curlin filly, who won the Oaks Day finale when handily defeating a wheel-back winner. Two main foes are in for the tag (Avicii) and took a little too long to break her mdn. (State Visit). Look for Garcia to work out a nice trip from the rail. – Marty McGee

Race 9 |
Spot PlayCOVER SHOOT (#6, 10-1): Initial turf try wasn’t all that bad, considering it was on the unfamiliar AP ground in a race in which she showed commendable speed. The two-back mdn. triumph at Kee was more like it; Gorder barn been known to pull the occasional surprise, and this wide-open race seems ripe for one. – Marty McGee

Spot PlaySPARKLING REVIEW (#7, 12-1) has a couple of very nice works for a barn which is proven with firsters; using her in all slots and as key in late exotics. -Kenny Peck
