Chrome's dam, Caledonia Road in catalog for Fasig-Tipton sale

An initial 240 entries have been cataloged for the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall selected mixed sale, set for the evening of Sunday, Nov. 4, the day after the Breeders' Cup.
Fasig-Tipton will continue to review and accept supplemental entries through the Breeders' Cup.
“Our November sale is known for quality, and this year’s catalog is one of the deepest and most internationally diverse that we have offered,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning said in a release. “Buyers will find tremendous quality from cover to cover. The sale will begin with 116 selected weanlings – which is our largest and strongest group of foals in recent memory – and then transition into a spectacular group of champions, international racing stars, and high-class broodmares.
“In total, this year’s catalog features 69 graded stakes winners or producers, 32 of which are Grade 1. We look forward to showcasing an exciting catalog to the world the evening after the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs.”
Love the Chase, the dam of two-time Horse of the Year California Chrome, is cataloged to sell at Fasig-Tipton in foal to Uncle Mo. The Not for Love mare was offered via this auction two years ago, selling to her current connections for $1.95 million.
Among the other fillies and mares cataloged are Eclipse Award champion juvenile filly Caledonia Road, Cartier Award European champion Lady Aurelia, and Grade 1 winner Finley'sluckycharm, who is expected to be among the favorites in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
California Chrome is among this year's first-crop weanling sires and is represented by one from his first crop in the November catalog. Among this year's first-year covering sires, Horse of the Year Gun Runner and leading money winner Arrogate both have three mares in foal in the auction.
