Charlottetown: Somewhere Fancy draws rail in 62nd Gold Cup
Trial three winner Somewhere Fancy will leave from the coveted rail in the 62nd edition of The Guardian Gold Cup and Saucer after the official post draw held Tuesday evening (8/17) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Chris MacKay-trained pacer cruised in trial three Monday night in 1:50 4/5 for owner John Mehlenbacher of Oakville, Ont. The complete draw was held Tuesday evening during the race program at Red Shores Charlottetown, with a special draw held beforehand to decide which fourth-place finisher will replace the scratched Evenwood Sonofagun, who finished third in Trial one.
