Century Mile meet opens June 21
The 40-day 2020 Century Mile meet begins Sunday, June 21 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 1. Racing will be held mostly on Fridays and Sundays. There is racing on two Saturdays, Sept. 19 and 24. Post time for Sundays is 5:15 p.m. Fridays will begin at 7:15 p.m.
It will be the second meet held at the Alberta track, which is located next to the Edmonton International Airport.

Because of restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no fans will be allowed at the track. However, the casino at Century Mile will be open.
There are 29 stakes worth $1.4 million during the meet. The highlight of the meet is the Grade 3, $100,000 Canadian Derby on Sept. 27. Supporting the Canadian Derby are the $75,000 Century Casino Oaks, the Northlands Park Distaff, and $75,000 Mile Handicap for 3-year-olds and up.
