Catalog online for Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Alberta Division) Thoroughbred sale

The catalog for the 2017 Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Alberta Division) Thoroughbred sale is now online, comprising 130 entries.

The auction will take place Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Expo Centre at Northlands Park in Edmonton, Alberta, beginning at noon Mountain.

The catalog is split among 115 yearlings, 11 broodmares, and 4 juveniles.

Canadian-bred yearlings offered in this sale as well as the CTHS British Columbia and Manitoba sales are eligible for the CTHS Western Sales Stakes Series, which offers stakes races for horses up to 4 in each of the three provinces.

Yearling graduates of the Alberta sale born in Canada are also eligible for in-province $50,000 Sales Stakes to be run at Northlands Park – a juvenile race for males and one for females, and a race for male 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds, and one for female 3- and 4-year-olds.

Stallions whose first crop are represented with yearlings in the catalog include Cross Traffic, Easter Gift, Flashback, Mucho Macho Man, Rascal Cat, Revolutionary, Rookie Sensation, Shakin It Up, and Strong Mandate.

Yearlings in the catalog were bred in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, California, Kentucky, and Oklahoma.
