Catalog for Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall yearling sale now online

The catalog for the 2017 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall yearling sale is now online, with 1,459 horses slated to be on offer.

The four-day auction will take place Oct. 23-26 at Fasig-Tipton’s Newtown Paddocks base in Lexington, Ky., with trade beginning each day at 10 a.m. Eastern.

Print catalogs will be available Oct. 6.

“Both buyers and sellers have had tremendous success at October in recent years, generating a catalog that is 16 percent larger in 2017,” said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning. “We have good quality across the board, and the sire power has ticked upwards once again as well. Every active sire currently ranked in the top 20 on the general sire list is represented in this catalog.”

Entries in the catalog were bred in Kentucky, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Manitoba, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ireland.

Stallions whose first crops of yearlings are represented in the catalog include Alpha, Atreides, Big Screen, Cairo Prince, Can the Man, Capo Bastone, Central Banker, Cross Traffic, Fed Biz, Flashback, Goldencents, He’s Had Enough, Itsmyluckyday, Magician, Mark Valeski, Mr. Besilu, Mucho Macho Man, Noble Mission, Real Solution, Revolutionary, Seville, Rookie Sensation, Run It, Shakin It Up, Strong Mandate, Super Ninety Nine, Uncaptured, Verrazano, Weekend Wildcat, and Will Take Charge.
