Cashcheckorcharge has good chance to get the money in Jeff and Jack Coady Sr. Stakes
PHOENIX – Cashcheckorcharge invades Turf Paradise on Tuesday with sizzling form and may be the one to beat in the $27,500 Jeff and Jack Coady Sr. Stakes. The six-furlong event for fillies and mares drew a competitive field of seven.
Owned by Simmons Racing LLC and trained by Casey Lambert, Cashcheckorcharge has done little wrong in seven starts, winning five of them. She ran well in her two losses, finishing second at Albuquerque in her debut in July 2019 and fourth in a stakes at Sunland a year ago, beaten less than a length. After that outing she wasn’t seen for 11 months, but she came back as good or better in allowance sprint Dec. 4 at Remington Park. She dueled for the lead to midstretch and drew off to win by 2 1/2 lengths, earning a career-top Beyer Speed Figure of 82. Luis Fuentes rides the 5-year-old mare, who is tabbed at 4-1 on the morning line.

Killarney Lass is the 3-1 favorite on the morning line. Owned by Daniel Sargent and trained by Frank Lucarelli, Killarney Lass raced at Emerald Downs over the summer, but she’s no stranger to this track, having won an optional claimer here last Feb. 24 after a couple dull stakes tries here.
Killarney Lass’s three Emerald races over the summer included a five-length romp in the 6 1/2-furlong Boeing Stakes and a third in the Emerald Distaff at 1 1/16 miles last out on Sept. 20. She returns to sprinting Tuesday, which may play better for her. Heribert Martinez has the call.
Count Them Again, 7-2 on the morning line, comes here razor sharp from New Mexico. Owned by Lola and Alexander Cuellar and trained by Esteban Martinez, the 4-year-old daughter of Premeditation comes into this off three straight wins, two of them stakes, including an easy win in the New Mexico Cup Oaks on Nov. 11 at Zia Park. Her speed figures to have her in the thick of it from the start. Francisco Reyes, who’s was up for those last three wins, has the call on the filly, who’s won 7 of 10 overall.
Harking comes off a romping optional-claiming win at Zia Park, while Northern Graystar invades after racing at Hastings Park in Vancouver and then running fourth in a tough optional claimer on Nov. 27 at Del Mar.
