Carter Sales Co. summer sale catalog now online

The catalog for the 2015 Carter Sales Co. OKC summer Thoroughbred yearling and horses of racing age sale is now available online, with 82 horses entered.

The one-day sale will be held Sunday, August 16 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds Sales Arena in Oklahoma City, Okla., beginning at 2 p.m. Central. A total of 79 yearlings are included in this year’s catalog, along with three horses of racing age.

Yearling graduates are eligible for a $25,000 bonus if they win the Clever Trevor Stakes at Remington Park, a seven-furlong race for 2-year-olds, the following year. Juveniles offered at the OKC sale are eligible for the bonus in the current year’s Clever Trevor Stakes.

Sires whose first foals are represented in the catalog include Astrology, Bold Warrior, Country Day, Crossbow, Dominus, Shackleford, and Tapizar. Horses in the catalog were bred in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Texas.
