ARCADIA, Calif. – There are two carryovers in the pick six for Friday, the next day of live racing at Santa Anita. There is a carryover of $75,755 in the main pick-six pool and a carryover of $35,366 in the single-ticket jackpot pool. An upset win by Gustnado ($41.40) in Monday’s eighth race clinched the carryover. The single jackpot pool has a two-day carryover and was last hit on Saturday. Friday’s pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 1 p.m. Pacific. The pool of new money in the pick six is likely to exceed $400,000. The pick six has a new wrinkle at the Santa Anita winter-spring meeting. With the addition of the single-ticket provision at the winter-spring meeting, 70 percent of the net pool is dedicated to tickets with six winners, or into a carryover; 15 percent is paid to consolation tickets; and 15 percent is paid to a single ticketholder, or into a carryover pool until there is a single winning ticket, or a mandatory payout day.
