Trainer Katie Carlos holds a strong hand in Saturday’s $150,000 Louisiana Quarter Horse Association Sales Futurity at Evangeline Downs. Not only will she send out a three-horse entry of Dukes Fast Cash, Fast Dashing Jewel, and McM Dashmaster in the 350-yard dash for Louisiana-bred 2-year-olds, she will also be represented by Corona Toast, who will run as a separate betting interest.\r\nAll four of the Carlos runners are multiple winners who won their respective trial here Oct. 6. McM Dashmaster might be the best of the quartet, having won three of his four races, including the restricted Grade 1 Louisiana Breeders’ Futurity at Delta Downs on July 10. The son of Heza Fast Dash has earned almost $183,000 and will once again have the services of jockey J.R. Ramirez.\r\nFrank Cavazos will send out three in Saturday’s feature, including the undefeated four-time winner Lots of Kas, whose victories include the Big Easy Stakes at Fair Grounds in mid-September. He will be coupled with fellow trial winner Very Intriguing as a 2-1 morning-line favored entry.
