Not Just a Rumor rallied to finish a close third in the eight-horse field. \nCarem Crescent ($6.60) earned $90,000 for Melnyk Racing Stable. The victory was the 13th in a stakes at the meet for trainer Malcolm Pierce. \n* The blue-blooded Cascading landed her first stakes as the 2-1 favorite under Patrick Husbands in Sunday's $158,975 Glorious Song. \nCascading stalked the leaders on the outside before taking control exiting the turn, and she went on to win the seven-furlong sprint by 1 1/4 lengths over Roan Inish.
