Capote dead at 23

Capote, champion juvenile male, winner of the 1986 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, and the leading sire of juveniles 10 years later, was euthanized Friday at Three Chimneys Farm, near Midway, Ky. He was 23 and had lived at the farm for 16 years.

Capote, a son of Seattle Slew, sired 1996 champion juvenile Boston Harbor as well as Grade 1 winners Agincourt, Capdiva, Capote Belle, and Matty G. Capote has been buried at Three Chimneys.
