Cape Canaveral moving to Canada

Overbrook Farm stallion Cape Canaveral will relocate from Kentucky to Canada after being sold to Highfield Stock Farm in Alberta.

Highfield would not disclose what it paid for the 11-year-old Mr. Prospector horse and has not announced a stud fee. Cape Canaveral stood at Overbrook this year for $7,500.

Cape Canaveral's 2007 stakes performers include Magnolia Jackson, a Grade 2 winner last season who captured the Correction Handicap this year, Canadian runner Roving Angel, Caruso, Reata's Rocket, Huracan, and Solar Powered. He also is the sire of two-time Puerto Rican champion Launch Sequence, Grade 3 winner Megascape, and Grade 2-placed Angel Trumpet, among other good runners.
