SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Several performances during the last week suggest runners stabled at Canterbury Park will be a major factor in the Claiming Crown, which will be held here July 19.

Since shipping to Canterbury Park, Win the Crowd has beaten two allowance fields by daylight, including an impressive win over a muddy track last Saturday. The 4-year-old Win the Crow is trained by Mike Biehler.

Trainer Troy Bethke appears ready for a Claiming Crown engagement as well after R C Brinker bested a solid starter allowance field for his second consecutive win of the meet last Saturday.

* A solid field is shaping up for Sunday's $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes. Stylish, a winner of the Grade 3 Distaff Turf Mile last season, headlines a field that may also include Voodoo Lady, Curious Conundrum, Dancing With Me, Presumed Innocent, and Cherylville Slew.
