Canterbury Park track report

SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Race fans at Canterbury Park may have detected a quiver in track announcer Paul Allen's voice when he called the fifth race on Memorial Day. The race was won by Rbrotherinthebooth, a nickname given to Allen by Canterbury Park chairman Curtis Sampson, who was on hand to greet the announcer and his homebred colt in the winner's circle.

* Quarter Horse jockey Stu Dolphus is off to a fast start at the meet after winning with his first four mounts. His first win came in the Friday nightcap aboard Streakin Jody ($29.20). Dolphus then won both Quarter Horse races on Saturday, aboard Keepn Rare ($6) and on Feather Lite Touche ($8) in the $10,000 Minnesota Spring Fling Stakes. On Sunday, Dolphus piloted Bronze Hammer ($8.20) to victory.

Eye Opening Special set a track record in the $12,400 Canterbury Express Handicap Monday, completing the 250-yard race in 13.469 seconds.
