Canterbury: Nicole's Dream wires

Nicole's Dream ($2.80) led from gate to wire in the $40,000 Honor the Hero Turf Express Stakes at Canterbury Park.

Facing five colts and geldings in the five-furlong race, Nicole's Dream, a 6-year old mare, pulled away under E.T. Baird to prevail by 3 3/4 lengths in 56.25 seconds over firm going. America West finished second, edging Rocky River by three-quarters of a length.

Larry Rivelli trains Nicole's Dream, who improved her record to 21 victories from 45 starts and earnings to more than $592,000.
