CANTER Mid-Atlantic online auction set for Aug. 14-21

CANTER Mid-Atlantic will host its annual online fundraising auction this year from Aug. 14-21 with items for everyone from racing fans to horse owners.

Proceeds from the auction benefit CANTER’s program to care for, evaluate, and retrain donated former racehorses as they prepare for new careers off the racetrack.

Auction items include riding lessons with United States Olympic team riders, veterinary services, a Sagamore Racing hoodie and cap, a consultation with Blackburn Architects, as well as artwork, jewelry, and more. To review items and bid, visit www.canterusa.org/midlantic.

“We are overjoyed at the support we have received for the work we do to transition ex-racehorses into new careers,” said CANTER Mid-Atlantic executive director Allie Conrad. “Thoroughbred racehorses are amazing animals, and it’s through donations and fundraisers such as our online auction that give us the critical funds we need to keep the program going.”
