Canceled stakes being brought back this weekend
OZONE PARK, N.Y. – With snow cancelling both of the weekend cards at Aqueduct, there will be two stakes on both Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend.
The Grade 3, $150,000 Toboggan, scheduled for last Saturday, will join the Withers on Saturday’s card. One horse not expected to enter back is Penguin Power, who finished sixth in last Saturday’s Fire Plug Stakes at Laurel Park.
The $100,000 Jimmy Winkfield, scheduled for last Sunday, has been rescheduled for this Sunday and will be the co-feature along with the $100,000 Ruthless Stakes for 3-year-old filly sprinters.
The Winkfield will most certainly have a different look to it as three of its entrants – Witty, H P Moon, and Coastal Mission – ran in Saturday’s Spectacular Bid Stakes at Laurel.
