Canadian auction to sell 45

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - A total of 45 juveniles are set to go on the auction block Thursday in the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society's annual 2-year-olds in training sale at the Woodbine Sales Pavilion.

Major consignors include agents Richard Hogan, Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency, Huntington Stud Farm, and Cameron Training Center.

Hogan has 2-year-olds by Saint Ballado, Cape Town, Lit de Justice, and Lord Carson. Saint Martin, a Saint Ballado colt, is the first foal of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Spellbound.

Hill 'n' Dale will sell juveniles by Maria's Mon, Whiskey Wisdom, Bold Executive, and Regal Classic. Tender Years, a daughter of Regal Classic, is a three-quarter sister to multiple stakes winner Fun to Run and a full sister to stakes-placed Stretch Drive.

Huntington Stud has a pair of Smart Strike fillies, including Smart Skater, the second foal of $148,229 earner Crystal Skater.

Cameron Training Center consigned a Wild Rush filly out of stakes winner Attraction Fatale, the dam of stakes-placed Saratoga Prince.

All eight horses in the supplement to the catalog have been scratched, along with Hip Nos. 1, 6, 16, 17, 29, 32, 34, 35, 39 and 47.

The pre-sale barbecue is from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, and the sale will commence at 6:30 p.m.
