Cambra joins DRF to head business development

Ben Cambra, a longtime racing executive, has been hired by Daily Racing Form as the company’s new senior vice president of business development and sponsorships, the company announced.

Cambra, who has four decades of experience working in horseracing, will oversee Daily Racing Form’s sales and marketing operations while also being responsible for syndication of the company’s content and reaching partnerships with industry organizations, Daily Racing Form said.

Cambra will fill a role vacated by Jeff Burch, who resigned in June as Daily Racing Form’s vice president of advertising to oversee the group-purchasing plan at the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.

Since 2010, Cambra has headed an advertising firm he founded based out of Dallas, Texas. Prior to that, Cambra was a vice president at Winnercomm, a Tulsa, Okla., company that has extensive horseracing television production experience.
