Calumet announced stud fees for the 2016 season for its 16 stallions, at its main location in Lexington, Ky., as well as its regional stallions. Stallions standing at stud at Calumet for the first time in 2016 are Real Solution, Americain, Grey Swallow, Eye of the Leopard, and Aikenite. “We are attempting to offer a wide variety of bloodlines possessing soundness, conformation, and a propensity to winning classic two-turn races on both dirt and turf,” Calumet general manager Eddie Kane said. “This is accomplished by supporting our stallions in the breeding shed and at the track. Without this support, it is impossible for the breeder to get full value.” Calumet will stand 13 stallions in Lexington, headed by English Channel, who has sired four Grade 1 or Group 1 winners, and will stand for $25,000. Oxbow, winner of the 2013 Preakness and a son of Awesome Again, will stand for $17,500. Following are the stud fees and locations for Calumet’s stallions. Calumet Farm, Lexington, Ky.
