Calder: Pletcher has two for Smooth Air

Trainer Todd Pletcher will be well represented at Calder Sunday when he sends out Monopolize and King Cyrus to go a mile in the $75,000 Smooth Air Stakes.
Monopolize will don blinkers for the first time trying to improve on his sixth-place finish behind Top Billing under allowance conditions last month at Gulfstream. King Cyrus has been idle since finishing third under entry-level allowance conditions at Keeneland in October.
Kulboyz, an impressive winner of his only start, which came at Gulfstream on Jan. 23, will vie for favoritism with the Pletcher duo in the Smooth Air. Kulboyz is trained at Calder by Angel Rodriguez.
