Calder offers wi-fi wagering through FastBet Mobile

MIAMI - Calder Race Course will launch its new FastBet Mobile wagering service on Friday, three days in advance of the opening of the 2012 racing season on Monday.

Created by United Tote, FastBet Mobile utilizes Calder’s local wi-fi network to process bets through the ontrack wagering system just as if they were placed with a mutuel teller or a self-service terminal. The wagers can be made from personal iPhones, iPads or Android devices, according to Calder’s vice president and general manager, John Marshall.

“Our team at Calder understands the demands of today’s racing fans and they deserve the best in wagering technology, and FastBet Mobile answers that call,” said Marshall.

The service can be accessed throughout the grandstand and is free.
