A 12-race card is set on Wednesday afternoon (March 4) at Buffalo Raceway beginning at 2:30 p.m. as the track is ready to kick off the 2026 live harness racing season. Racing will commence on Wednesdays and Saturdays in March with Fridays being added to the schedule on April 3. Closing day will be July 19, the lone Sunday of the meet. Of the 12 events, 10 of them have full fields of eight with races seven and eleven attracting seven. All fans attending the races on track will receive a free program for opening day. Then on Saturday, it's the return of the 'Lucky Exacta' contest. Fans will receive a 2026 schedule magnet which will include an exacta combination. Should the exacta come in during select races, fans will get to spin the wheel for wagers that can be used on the last race on the program. On the track, Kevin Cummings and Joseph Chindano Jr. each drew 10 driving assignments with the defending driving champion Drew Monti ready to hop aboard eight. There are three drivers who will be making appearances on the day as Billy Davis Jr., Leon Bailey and Brett MacDonald will give the Buffalo Raceway half mile a go. The feature will be a $13,500 pace for the ladies with the rail-sitting Major Megan (Bailey) tabbed as the morning line favorite at 2-1. Face The Shadow (Monti) drew the four post and is the second at 5-2.
