Brown's court appearance adjourned until Sept. 16
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - A court appearance scheduled for Friday for trainer Chad Brown, who faces a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of breathing, has been adjourned until Sept. 16, according to a clerk at the Saratoga Springs City Court.
“His attorney asked for an adjournment,” the clerk said.
Brown was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with obstruction of breathing in a case that involved a former acquaintance at his Saratoga home.

Brown was arraigned on Aug. 18, pleaded not guilty and was released on $2,500 bail and a $5,000 bond.
Brown, a four-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer, leads all trainers this year in purse money won with $22 million, stakes wins (47), graded stakes wins (38) and is fourth in overall wins with 179. Brown entered the final week of racing at Saratoga atop the trainer standings with 37 victories.
