Brown plans to run two against Tepin in Jenny Wiley

Michael Amoruso Dacita wins the Ballston Spa Stakes by a head Saturday at Saratoga.
The big name for the second weekend of racing at Keeneland is Tepin, the Eclipse Award-winning turf mare who will be a big favorite in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley Stakes on April 16. Trainer Mark Casse contemplated a start against males in the Grade 1 Maker’s 46 Mile on April 15 but said there was “no major compelling reason to jump outside the box at this time.”
Chad Brown said he expects to enter Dacita and Wekeela against Tepin. Dacita was the last horse to beat Tepin, having done so last August in the Ballston Spa at Saratoga, while Wekeela will be making her North American debut for owner Martin Schwartz.
The $350,000 Jenny Wiley is one of four stakes on the April 16 card, along with the Lexington, Ben Ali, and Giant’s Causeway.
