Brown hearing delayed until Oct. 21

A hearing to consider a charge of criminal obstruction of breathing lodged against trainer Chad Brown has been re-scheduled for Oct. 21, an official in Saratoga Springs city court said on Friday.
Brown, a four-time Eclipse Award winner for champion trainer, was scheduled to appear for the hearing on Friday after an initial hearing on Sept. 2 was delayed. The city clerk of Saratoga Springs said the delays were requested by the attorneys involved in the case.
Brown was arrested late at night at his house on Aug. 17 in Saratoga following an altercation involving a romantic acquaintance, an exercise rider. Brown’s girlfriend was also in the house at the time of the altercation.
