Brown fine-tuning Belmont Day runners

ELMONT, N.Y. – It was quite the busy Monday morning for trainer Chad Brown, who worked a bevy of runners for the Belmont Stakes week programs.
In addition to Beach Patrol, Brown is planning to start the undefeated Robert Bruce in the Grade 1, $1 million Manhattan. On Monday, Robert Bruce, winner of the Fort Marcy stakes in his U.S. debut, worked five furlongs on turf in 1:01.95 in company with Almanaar, who has not run since winning the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf in February 2017.
“Robert Bruce is fit and ready off that one start where he was really impressive,” Brown said.
Brown was also impressed with Alamanaar, though he has no set race picked out for him.
Significant Form and Rushing Fall went an easy five furlongs together in 1:02.69 over the turf. Brown said the two fillies went fast in company on the dirt last week. Significant Form is pointing to the Grade 3 Wonder Again on June 7, while Rushing Fall could run at Royal Ascot or train up to the Belmont Oaks on July 7.
Sistercharlie, winner of the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley at Keeneland, went five furlongs on turf with A Raving Beauty, winner of the Beaugay, in 1:01.37. A Raving Beauty was under a snug hold in the lane.
Sistercharlie is pointing to the New York Stakes on June 8, while A Raving Beauty is possible for the Just a Game on June 9.
Pacific Wind, pointing to the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps, worked five furlongs in 1:01.83 over the Belmont training track in company with the undefeated Chilean-bred Group 1 winner Wow Cat, who has not run in the U.S.
