Brown enters four in quest for 11th Diana

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Trainer Chad Brown entered four of the seven runners for Saturday’s Grade 1, $500,000 Diana Stakes, a 1 1/8-mile turf race he has won nine of the last 10 years and 10 times overall.

Brown’s quartet includes Portfolio Duration, winner of the Grade 1 New York Stakes; Segesta, winner of the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley in April; Kathynmarissa, winner of the Grade 3 Modesty in May and third in the New York; and Dynamic Pricing, who won the Grade 1 Just a Game at Saratoga in 2025. Dynamic Pricing may only be possible for the race, as her form is stronger on turf with give in it as opposed to firm, which has been the norm at Saratoga since the beginning of June.

The other three entered include European shipper Cathedral, who finished fourth in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf at odds of 90-1; Five G, a New York-bred who was third in the Mt. Vernon on June 3; and Ozara, who is 3 for 3 at Saratoga with victories in the Grade 2 Ballston Spa and the listed De La Rose here last year.

The Diana is carded as race 5, as it will be shown during a one-hour broadcast (2-3 p.m Eastern) on national FOX as part of the FOX Saratoga Saturday series. FOX will have programs from Saratoga each Saturday ranging from one to three hours through Aug. 29, when the Travers will be the highlight.
