Brother Derek to undergo tests

Brother Derek, who finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, will undergo tests next week to determine if he should remain in training or be given a break, trainer Dan Hendricks said.

The tests are expected to include a nuclear scan, which can detect hard-to-find problems, if any exist.

"He'll get a battery of tests to see if everything is okay and we'll decide if he gets a couple of easy weeks or a couple of months," Hendricks said.
