Mary Rampellini|Sep 13, 2020
Bronx Beauty wins Regret 9-13-2020
Ryan Denver/ EQUI-PHOTO Bronx Beauty returned $9.60 with her victory in the Regret at Monmouth.

Bronx Beauty won the eighth stakes race of her career Sunday when she skipped home by 4 1/4 lengths over 3-5 favorite Royal Charlotte in the $75,000 Regret at Monmouth Park.

Royal Charlotte won a multi-horse photo for second by a head over Day by Day, while it was a nose back to Bridlewood Cat in fourth.

Bronx Beauty won the Regret, a six-furlong race for fillies and mares, for the second year in a row.

Bronx Beauty ($9.60) sat in fourth in the early stages Sunday as Decoupage led the field through an opening quarter in 22.14 seconds and Bridlewood Cat took over through a half-mile in 45.29. Bronx Beauty commenced a strong bid on the final turn, came four wide into the stretch, took the lead soon afterward and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:10.45.
