Brego to be nominated to River City at Churchill

Brego, who won the $150,000 DeBartolo Memorial at Remington in September, is being nominated to the Grade 3, $200,000 River City Handicap at Churchill Downs on Nov. 23, said his trainer, Bruce Jackson. Trial by Jury, the other older turf stakes winner Jackson has in training, is being pointed for the $45,000 No Le Hace at Retama Park on Nov. 17.

Also, Sing Baby Sing and Greeley's Conquest, who finished first and second in last month's $75,000 Remington Park Sprint Championship at seven furlongs, are both under consideration for the $75,000 Governor's Cup, according to their connections. The 1 1/16-mile race is at Remington on Dec. 1.
