Gulfstream Park: , One Mile, Turf

There are quite a few nicely bred horses in this field as well as a half a million dollar yearling. Every horse in the field has started at least once except the horse we're looking at--Majestic Stream. Trained by Linda Rice, good with first-time turf horses, he was a relatively modest $65,000 purchase at the pricey KEEAPR sale where he worked twice, earning a BreezeFig of 66 both times, at different distances. The 66 at a quarter mile is impressive--he made Group 1 with that and it's six over Par; the other work, at an eighth, was four over Par, good enough for Group 2, so this colt showed some talent and speed. Other horses look a bit more seasoned, but here is a horse that could come along and do well. Either finishing off the exacta with your favorite pick, or playing him straight up should yield some return. Good luck--and check the other races out on today's card.
