BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, September 29, 2018
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLEAnother decent week for our Pix and a very good week for BreezeFigs juveniles overall. Take Charge Angel romped at Churchill, Flying Blue just missed catching the winner to complete an exacta at Golden Gate, while Stole E showed some promise before fading at Laurel in a stake won by a BreezeFigs colt, Order and Law (another,Monkeys Uncle won another stake at Laurel on the same day). In another stake, Galilean, broke his maiden in his debut in the Barretts Juvenile Los Alamitos, kicking off a BreezeFigs exacta, Besides Take Charge Angel and Galilean, there were 11 other BreezeFigs maidens who won, including two more at Churchill (one a BreezeFigs exacta). The other winners came at Arlington, Belterra, Delaware, Gulfstream (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Los Alamitos, Parx (BreezeFigs exacta), and Penn National (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Saturday’s card is deep with opportunities and the weather may play a factor at some tracks. But we’ve found one that might be a very decent chance, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pix:
Churchill Downs, 5th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
Mark this one down as a possible key race and one that has the potential of seeing the three BreezeFigs first timers all make it into a gimmick or two. Calaveras comes out of OBSAPR with a seven-over-Par Group 1 profile that featured a 25.06 foot stride length (SL), more than a foot-and-a-half longer that average for fillies that day at a furlong. However, she was scratched (SCR) after breezing and comes in here owned by her breeder and trained by the same guy who trains Sacred Lady for another owner. This filly posted an even-Par Group 1 at OBSMAR with a 24.67 foot SL, just above average for fillies that day at a furlong. On the rail is Caliber, who posted a three-over-Par Group 1 ticket at OBSMAR with a 24.31 foot SL, about a quarter foot longer than average at a furlong. There is a heavy morning line favorite in this race, but all three of the BreezeFigs fillies have the ability to lay off the pace and swallow the field up. Watch the board on this one and take your Pick, or Pix, accordingly. Good luck!
