Self Taught, the horse we didn’t think could get a call won one of our Pix at Delaware while the ones we liked in that race and the other Pick at Churchill stopped on dimes after contesting the lead early. On the other hand, two dozen other BreezeFigs maiden 2-year-olds won last week besides the surprise at Delaware at: Arlington, Belmont (two), Charles Town, Churchill (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Golden Gate (two), Gulfstream (three, including two BreezeFigs exactas), Indiana (BreezeFigs exacta), Los Alamitos (four, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Monmouth, Parx, Penn, Presque Isle, Remington (BreezeFigs exacta), Thistledown, and Woodbine (two). Today’s card is huge but we found one race where a bit of discretion might pay off, see below. Good luck! If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf. Here’s Saturday’s Pick: Belmont Park, 5th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 Miles (Turf) Aziza breezed at two sales, both times on dirt, but she moved like a turf horse and is nicely placed at 10-to-1 here. She posted a two-over-Par Group 2 ticket at FTFMAR with a 24.13 foot stride length (SL), about half a foot longer than average that day, but was not sold (RNA) at 275k. She came back at EASMAY with a six-over-Par Group 2 effort with a 25.07 foot SL, more than a foot and a half longer than average, and sold for 230k. She is definitely a gimmick play here. Leah Chase posted a one-under-par Group 3 ticket at OBSAPR with a 23.67 foot SL, just about average that day; at 12-to-1 in the morning line, watch the board. Good luck!
