BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, September 14, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
What we feared might happen did when our two gimmick Pix, Unprecedented and Sagamore Mischief, were sent to contest the lead early and folded as the two big favorites passed them in the stretch. Fortunately our Pix filled in the trifecta and superfecta, so there may have been some consolation. Meanwhile, a dozen 2-year-old BreezeFigs maidens galloped home on top last week at: Arlington (two), Belmont (two, one BreezeFigs exacta), Colonial, Gulfstream, Indiana (BreezeFigs exacta), Kentucky Downs (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Laurel (BreezeFigs trifecta), Los Alamitos, and Monmouth. There are plenty of opportunities all over the place today but we found one that looks a bit intriguing, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Belmont Park, 6th Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 ½ Furlongs (Dirt)
One BreezeFigs filly in this race looks to have a good shot at 8-to-1 at filling out a gimmick, and might actually win. That would be Thissmytime (sic) who comes out of OBSAPR with a one-over-Par Group 2 ticket that featured a solid 25.27 foot stride length (SL), about a foot longer than average for fillies at a furlong that day. She’s not the prettiest mover in the world and this field is loaded with “pedigree pundit purity” but no real hot favorite and this could be a key race. She is worth a gimmick key at the most, but if the board starts liking her, maybe a bit more. Good luck!
