BreezeFigs Quick-Pix, Saturday, October 6th
Last weeks Quick-Pix was a way off the mark at Bay Meadows but we did manage to sneak into a modest Tri at Belmont. This weeks card is once again loaded with juicy maiden and stakes races and were coming off a particularly good week where BreezeFigs qualified horses won 19 races, including some important stakes, from coast-to-coast.
Remember, our rules still hold about BreezeFigs qualified runners: You can get a good idea of what qualified BreezeFigs horses are by clicking on BreezeFigs Information underneath the two BreezeFigs links in the DRF-PLUS box in the right hand column on the home page and downloading files there. Remember, keep stride length (SL) in mind when handicapping from the BreezeFigs sheet and take advantage of all the tips that we provide on those sheets as well.
Were going to get a little creative with our Pixone maiden and a stab at a Pick-4 at Belmont. Hang on for the ride.
Belmont Park, , Maiden Special, 6 Furlongs
There are numerous BreezeFigs horses to choose from in this race so check them out on the board and in the post parade and find your horse and mix and match from these four, all of which are Group 2 horses from different sales. British Columbia had a 69 BreezeFig at the FTFFEB sale with a SL of 23.6 ft and did OK in his debut. Cloud Nine RNA'd for 72K at OBSMAR with a 68 Fig and a SL of 24.8 ft. Overheatedone of our Pix last week who was scratchedgraduated from EASMAY sale with a long SL of 25.25 ft while earning a 67 Fig. One of the longest SL of the year came from the KEEAPR horse Hepcata whopping eight-over-Par 74, with a SL of 26.4 ft, on Polytrack. This is a solid bunch which might yield some good payoffs.
Belmont Park BreezeFigs Pick-4: With Belmont's card stacked full of 2YO races here is our first-ever multiple bet stab.
5th Racesee above.
, Maiden Special, 1 1/16 Miles, TURFCoach Butts is a huge 20-1 shot having hesitated at the start and run very greenely last time out. He comes out of KEEAPR with a SL of 24 ft. and an eight-over-Par Group 1 Figand he was an RNA at 190k. Pounce.
, The Champagne, One Mileno BreezeFigs horses in there, so youre on your own.
, The Frizette, One MileMaiden Armonk, a Group 2 filly at KEEAPR with a short SL of 22.7 ft but a solid 66 Fig and she closed well to place second in the Matron. Backseat Rhythm showed that she loves a distance in her maiden win, which was on the turf, and she might transfer that form over to the dirt. She showed 25.9 ft SL to go along with a six-over-Par Group I Fig at the high class BARMAR sale. Either of these two is a solid gimmick play that you might want to also throw into your Pick 4s. Good luck!
