BreezeFigs Quick-Pix for Saturday, October 5, 2019 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
Our “definitely a gimmick play” Aziza plodded up in time behind the two hot favorites to complete a $101 trifecta for a buck so it wasn’t a total loss unless you didn’t go deep with her. On the other hand, on the same day at Belmont Park, two other BreezeFigs maidens won, including Captain Bombastic who led off a BreezeFigs super. In addition, the Pilgrim Stakes that day was swept by BreezeFigs horses with the winner, Structor, being a previous Pick. All told, another 17 BreezeFigs maidens won during the week including another three at Belmont (a BreezeFigs trifecta and two BreezeFigs exactas), Churchill, Golden Gate (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Gulfstream (six, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Indiana, Laurel (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), Monmouth and Woodbine. Today’s card is rich with opportunities but we found one that isn’t all that cluttered with questions, see below. Good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
Keeneland, 1st Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
Three BreezeFigs fillies are in here including the favorite, Hai Bobbi, who has started twice showing promise on dirt and turf, but she also has reflected so far her even-Par Group 2 profile at OBSAPR where her 22.74 foot stride length (SL), was a foot shorter than average that day for fillies at a furlong. She was not sold (RNA) on a last bid of 145k, but comes in here with experience. However, we would look closely at first-timer Specially who put in a three-over-Par Group 2 ticket at OBSMAR with a 25.13 foot SL that was a foot longer than average that day. She brought 475k and has the right connections and is sure to go off shorter than her 5-to-1 morning line. We’d also pay attention to the rail horse, She’s Mischief, another first-timer who breezed on the same day at OBSMAR as Specially but came up with an even-Par Group 2 profile because she had a 23.39 foot SL three-quarters of a foot shorter than average that day. She went for 100k but has to contend with the rail as well as faster fillies to be a gimmick play, watch the board to se what happens to her 12-to-1 morning line. We’d key Hai Bobbi on her experience and Specially on her better BreezeFigs numbers here and you might want to throw She’s Mischief into your gimmicks if the board says to do so. Good luck!
