BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, October 3, 2020 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore
With one mea culpa our Pix last week were right on target. The mea culpa was he fact that we listed the 3-year-old Pick as the 9th race at Churchill when it was the 10th—but our Pick, War Like Goddess, escaped her greenness to pay $11, thank you very much. Our 2-year-old gimmick play at Arlington came through with Music City Star winning and American Bourbon finishing third. There were six other 3-year-old BreezeFigs maidens who won last week, at: Belmont, Charles Town, Finger Lakes, Monmouth (BreezeFigs trifecta), Parx and Woodbine. The 2-year-olds went on a roll with nine additional BreezeFigs gimmick-enhanced victories last week, at: Belmont (BreezeFigs superfecta), Charles Town (BreezeFigs exacta), Indiana, Monmouth (BreezeFigs exacta), Pimlico (two, including a BreezeFigs trifecta), Presque Isle (two, including a BreezeFigs exacta), and Santa Anita. Today’s cards are a bit challenging but we found one race which might be juicier than others, see below. Stay safe and good luck!
If you’d like to learn a little more about how we come up with BreezeFigs, take a look at our new website by clicking here: www.biodatatrack.com and click on the tab BreezeFigs at the top of the page. In there you will find a link to a major study of how over 17,000 BreezeFigs horses from the sales 2007 through 2013 have succeeded on the racetrack based on Group and stride length. You can also access that study by clicking this link: www.biodatatrack.com/BreezeFigs-Study.pdf.
Here’s Saturday’s Pick:
2-Year-Olds
Monmouth Park, 3rd Race, Maiden Special Weight, 6 Furlongs (Dirt)
Three BreezeFigs fillies in here, all first-timers, with two of them likely to be involved at the end. Liam’s Missy and Nythingzpazible breezed an eighth on different days at EASMAY with what may seem like oxymoronic results. Liam’s Missy posted a three-over-Par Group 2 ticket with a 23.80 foot stride length (SL), which was a third of a foot shorter than average for fillies that day at an eighth. The next day Nythingzpazible posted an even-Par Group 2 performance with a 24.17 foot SL that was a quarter of a foot longer than average that day. The third entrant, Gone to Cabo, had a six-under-Par Group 3 ticket at OBSAPR where she had a 24.33 foot SL, about a quarter foot longer than average that day. We think Liam’s Missy and Nythingzpazible are worthy of keying into your gimmicks, but keep an eye on the board to see if Gone to Cabo might be worth a bit of a punt. Good luck!
